About Me

Wai L. Khoo graduated from Fort Hamilton High School in 2005 with honors and induction in the National Honor Society. He studied Computer Science, Mathematics, and Psychology as an undergraduate at City College of New York (CCNY). Wai L. Khoo received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from the CUNY City College of New York in 2009 and 2012 respectively. As an undergraduate, he was a research member in Professor Zhigang Zhu's Visual Computing Lab, where he worked on projects related to vision and graphics. Wai L. Khoo is currently in the Computer Science Ph.D. program.

  • Virtual/Augmented Reality
  • Gamification

Outside of academia, Wai L. Khoo has actively volunteered in the community through teaching life-saving skills at the American Red Cross of Greater New York. Wai L. Khoo is a former instructor in basic CPR/AED/First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuers. Wai L. Khoo is also a former Emergency Medical Technician and volunteers at CCNY Volunteer Emergency Squad (VES), where he responded to emergencies on campus.
